Lei Dunn

My name is Lei Dunn, and I am completing my Master’s degree in Health and Physical Education at Longwood University.  My undergraduate degree in Sports and Fitness Management from Troy University lead me to a career in managing city and regional sports organization.  I completed the Career Switcher program through the Virginia Community College Workforce Alliance to gain a teaching license K-12 health and physical education. As a I lifelong learner, I continued my education at Longwood University to receive a Master's Degree in Health and Physical Education and the Professional Studies Leadership and Administration Licensure.  I am currently teaching elementary health and physical education in Virginia Beach, VA.  The purpose of this portfolio is to highlight my professional experience and expertise. This portfolio demonstrates the knowledge and skills that I have gained to be a leader in health and physical education.

Within this portfolio I have included sections that demonstrate my knowledge base, experience and future goals. My resume is included to show the qualifications I possess to be a licensed educator in the state of Virginia.  I have included a teaching philosophy and a discussion of theories and models to demonstrate how my understanding of pedagogy has matured through my post-graduate education and teaching experience. My professional development plan is included to demonstrate my commitment to learning and growth within my field.  

Upon reviewing my portfolio my passion and expertise in the teaching field will be evident as well as my extensive leadership abilities.
